The FBC family is an open environment, where new friendships are valued as much as old ones. Whether you have lived in the valley your whole life and are looking for a family in which to belong, or if you are new to the valley and only plan to be here a few years, FBC Harlingen is a great family with which you can connect.Many attend churches, but never fully connect with the family that is the church. I encourage you to begin connecting one step at a time until you are fully participating in the family of FBC Harlingen.
The first step is to attend morning worship services. Worship is the heartbeat of who we are. Our lives are focused on God and our weekly worship time reminds us all of that simple truth.
The second step to a deeper connection is joining a LifeGroup on Sunday mornings and/or a discipeship group on Sunday evenings. Small groups allow you to develop deeper friendships, to get to know the people of the FBC family, and to learn about God and His word. Pastor Wade often says that "God gets you out of bed in the morning, but your friendships help get you to church."
The third step in the connection is to find a place to serve alongside of the FBC family. The family at FBC Harlingen strives to be a people who are making a difference in our families, in our community, and in the world. There is no need to wait to be asked to serve, seek out the place that fits with your passions, talents, and spiritual gifts and begin making a difference yourself.
